We waive the $50/month membership fee for active CFIs who plan to conduct checkouts, recurrent training, and Flight Reviews for A4Aviation members. You get fleet access. Members get the instruction they need.
Free membership
$0/month for active instructing CFIs. Standard wet rental rates apply when you fly solo.
Built-in student base
Our members need checkouts, BFRs, and recurrent training. We send qualified pilots your way.
Independent CFI model
You set your instruction rate and bill students directly. We don't take a cut of dual time.
What we ask of CFIs
- Current CFI certificate (Sport, Private, or higher)
- Current FAA medical or BasicMed
- Renter / non-owned aircraft insurance
- Tail-specific checkout in any aircraft you'll instruct in
- Willingness to conduct member checkouts and BFRs
- Adherence to club operating procedures
- Direct, professional communication with students and staff
- Maintenance squawk reporting through our system
We are not a primary flight school
A4Aviation is a members-only club focused on access to high-quality, modern aircraft for certificated pilots. We don't run an ab-initio Part 61 or Part 141 training program. CFIs operate as independent contractors training pilots who already hold a certificate, or providing checkout and recurrent training in our specific aircraft.
